MapaJob is built and run by Andrew Farley, an independent developer based in the UK.

The idea goes back to August 2016 — a simple frustration that job listings were just text, with no sense of where they actually were. It took years to become the app it is today, but the core idea never changed: putting vacancies on a map makes hiring feel local again. Job seekers can see who's hiring nearby at a glance, and employers with multiple sites can be found accurately at each one, not lumped under a single head-office pin.

MapaJob is self-funded and independently run — not owned by a recruitment network or backed by outside investors. There's no algorithmic feed deciding what you see and no data-selling business model behind it — just a straightforward map of who's hiring.
